Photography is a hobby that I began to take seriously after I retired from the Air Force in 2002. Since then, I have worked to learn and grow every time I pick up my camera.

Photography has forced me to pay attention to my surroundings. It is amazing what one might see if they glance skyward once in a while, look beyond the first tree of a forest, or travel a couple hundred miles down the road. These images are examples of what I found. So break out your camera and give it a try!

My style of photography is primary influenced by my interests in nature, wildlife, and history. My peace comes from sitting alone in the woods, standing at the foot of a majestic mountain, or peering into a crystal clear lake. It is during these times that I have been fortunate enough to view breathtaking scenery and to share space with amazing wildlife. I am also fascinated by the events and people that have helped to build this country. To me, nothing is more humbling than trying to digest the 58,195 names on the Vietnam Wall or standing on the battlefield at Gettysburg. And nothing is more inspiring than passing by Lady Liberty in the New York harbor or watching Old Glory wave over Fort McHenry from the Baltimore Harbor as Francis Scott Key did in 1814. Regardless of the mood, my experiences reflected in these photographs only drive me to experience more. So much to see, so little time to see it.
